Originally an orchard, this Cape Cod style home in the Observatory Park neighborhood, was built on and acre in 1942. Since then it has been subdivided into a ½ acre and the current owners have done several additions with the intention of preserving the original architecture style.
A series of ‘outdoor rooms’ were included in the landscape design. The owners wanted to enjoy the park like setting of the yard while having coffee in the morning to having cocktails and dinner at night.
Hardscape materials were consistent throughout; concrete with red flagstone accents. Old fashioned plantings like roses, peonies, hydrangeas etc. were incorporated to the landscape to compliment the Cape Cod style of the house.
